Newday 2020 Festival Cancelled

1 minute read

It’s with disappointment that we are announcing the cancellation of the Newday 2020 Festival.

In the context of so much uncertainty it has been a difficult decision (there are many uncertainties about the impact that COVID-19 will have over the months to come), but, having reflected and sought God for wisdom, we feel peaceful about the decision.

If you have booked a ticket to the 2020 Festival, we’ll be contacting you via email today to follow up and let you know the options.

Although this is a disappointment, we think you’ll agree that in the context of what is happening in the world, it’s important that we maintain a healthy perspective. The cancelling of Newday does in no way compare to the pain that many in our nation are going through right now.

We should do all we can to be salt and light in our communities, and above all else, we need to pray.

Having to stay home and not see our friends can be tough. Over the coming weeks and months we’ll be doing our best to create content for you, to help you keep on connecting with God during this season. Make sure you’re following @newdayevent on Instagram and are subscribed to us on YouTube.

If you’re a church pastor or youth leader we want to keep doing our best to serve you especially during the lockdown. Please follow @youthculture as we’ll be sharing helpful youth work resources over the weeks and months to ahead.

Our 2021 Festival dates are Mon 2nd – Sat 7th Aug (going home on Sun 8th Aug). We are planning on making it the best Newday ever, and we will be communicating more about our plans soon.

Trusting God for a greater breakthrough for the gospel in our generation, and we look forward to connecting with you online.
