Join us for a year

Do you want to join the Newday team for a whole year?!!

Do you have a passion for God, the local church and mission?

This would be great for a gap-year student or post-grad looking for a year to grow in God, develop their gifting and serve a local church. However, all age-ranges are welcome to apply.

Applications for September 2017 are now open, and your year with the Newday team would run through to the 2018 event. The internship will cost £1,300 for the year. This is to cover the theological training over the year, including a 4 day training block in CentreParcs with FP Impact students from around the UK and a week serving a church plant overseas.

The intern timetable will be around 3-4 days mid-week, plus serving on Sundays. As the internship is a voluntary year, we have purposefully left space for interns to work a job one day a week, which we would strongly encourage.

For the 2017/18 academic year we are offering six internship streams:

  • Worship

Based at the Church of Christ the King in Brighton, you will work with Simon Brading and the Newday band, serving a thriving multi-site church and supporting the Newday tour, and preparations for the 2018 event.

  • Youth Worker with Emmanuel Church Greenwich

Based at Emmanuel Church in Greenwich, you will work with Ben Rowe and the Newday team, developing youth work both in the local church and helping support youth work across the churches that come to Newday.

  • Youth Worker with the Church of Christ the King
